Compared to the original PC version, the mobile version of Gorilla Tag removes the VR elements and offers a third-person perspective. While this may make the experience slightly less immersive, it provides a better view of the surroundings, making it easier to evade pursuers or find potential targets to infect.
The controls in Gorilla Tag have been optimized for touchscreen input, ensuring an intuitive gameplay experience. Players can choose to play as infected or non-infected characters, although the absence of a multiplayer mode is a downside. Instead, AI-controlled characters are present, although they can sometimes behave erratically.
